IRAQ WAR:

Operation New Dawn (2010 - ongoing)

(The continuing operation to stabilize Iraq. Name change is meant to signal the change of mission for U.S. forces in Iraq.)

Operation Iraqi Freedom (2003-2010)
(U.S. invasion/war on terror in Iraq. Planned to end with the withdrawal of U.S. combat troops, and succeeded by Operation New Dawn merican buildup prior to Gulf War)

GLOBAL WAR ON TERROR:

Operation Enduring Freedom (2001- ongoing)

(is the current official name used by the U.S. government for the War in Afghanistan, together with a number of smaller military actions, under the umbrella of the Global "War on Terror" (GWOT).

Disaster Recovery - Hurricane Katrina (2005)
(Disaster emergency relief to the people of New Orleans and southern Mississippi areas in support of FEMA.)

Operation Provide Hope (1992-1993)
(Humanitarian airlift to the people of the former Soviet Republics from threats of ecomomic distress due to malnutrition and disease)

Operation Provide Relief (Aug-Dec, 1992)

(Assistance of providing thousands of tonnes of food to the people of Somalia)

Operation Provide Comfort (1991-1996)
(Security and humanitarian aid to Kurds in northern Iraq and No-Fly Zone North of 36°N over Iraq.)

Operation Sea Angel (1991)

(Assistance for Storm-torn victims in Bangladesh)

Operation Fiery Virgil (June, 1991)
(The emergency evacuation of all non-essential military and United States Department of Defense civilian personnel and their dependents from Clark Air Base and U.S. Naval Base Subic Bay during the June 1991 volcanic eruption of Mount Pinatubo in the Philippines. This noncombatant evacuation operation (NEO) resulted in the transfer of roughly 20,000 people from Clark Air Base and U.S. Naval Base Subic Bay back to CONUS, by way of Cebu, Philippines)
